Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, April 7, 2019, Lorraine Catherine Walsh of Logy Bay, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Edward Walsh, her parents Richard and Helen Mahon, brothers Basil (Mary), Richard (Joan), Billy, Doug (Jean), Jack (Mary), sisters Margaret Rebic, Betty Cameron, Isabel Noseworthy (Alex), Joan Scott (Leonard), Helen Scott (Roland), Bernice (Cookie) Dyer (Paddy), Marie and Patsy. Leaving to mourn her daughter, who was her best buddy, Patsy (Laurie) Dufton, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to family members Paula and Sharon who were loved like daughters, Donnie, Brenda and Barrie, Michele, Jane and Jimmy. Thanks to the medical staff of Health Sciences Centre who provided care; Dr. Nafisi and Stephanie; Cathy Chafe, her Home Care Worker; Linda Tilley and staff of About Hair. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay Road on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove. Inurnment to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Outer Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
