Lawrence « Larry » Hussey
1952-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of
Lawrence Arthur Hussey (Larry) announce his passing on April 12, 2019
at the age of 67.
Larry was the son of the late Ken and Vera
(Hachey) Hussey of St. Andrew Street,
Bathurst.
He is survived by his sister Gail White
(Michael) of South Tetagouche, brother John of Bathurst, and sister
Carol Artz (Cees) of
Ottawa.
He was predeceased by his brother Kevin.
Larry was a beloved « Unkie Monkey » to several nieces and
nephews and a dear friend to
many.
As a young man, Larry worked in
B.C. When he returned to Bathurst in 1984, he worked at the
Wild Goose Tavern as well as the Carpet Ranch. His interest turned to
computers, and he studied at Eastern Business Computer Institute in
Saint John. He worked in Saint John for several years,
fixing computers and point of sale systems. His friends were grateful
for the skills he acquired as, in retirement, he often helped friends
and family with their
computers.
At his request, there will not be a funeral
service or visitation. The family will host a celebration of
his life at a later date. Donations in Larry’s name may be made to the
Bathurst SPCA.
