Kantaben Laljibhai Satashia, age 61 of Ahmedabad, India, passed away peacefully on Monday April 24th, 2019. She was born to the late Arjanbhai K. Gajera and Otiben R. Gajera on November 29th, 1957.
Kantaben is survived by her husband Laljibhai Satashia and her three children, Priyanka, Parimal, and Sejal, her two sisters, Vimlaben and Shantaben, and her brother Ashokbhai.
Kantaben and Laljibhai were married in May of 1978 in Ahmedabad, India in a joint ceremony with her younger sister, Shantaben Gajera. After one short year, she immigrated to Canada where she settled down and had three active children; two daughters and a son.
Kantaben was a loving, caring and thoughtful woman. Every guest in her home would always be served something freshly made and it was her pleasure to share her amazing cooking. Knowing people were well fed with fresh food from her kitchen always brought her great pleasure.
She
was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in April of 2016. She fought for 3 long years. With all the intense treatments and trips to the doctor, she always remained strong and vigilant. While the cancer started to win the battle for her body, her mind and soul remained strong. She remembered many precious moments of her life and all the people with whom she bonded with.
Ultimately her battle with cancer was a struggle, but her passing was a calm and peaceful moment. It was filled with loving thoughts and memories in the presence of her husband and children.
