MADGWICK – June Anne
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday April 26, 2019, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late George Charles Madgwick (2015) for 65 years. Loving mother of Joanne Belanger (Serge), Debbie Aasla (Harold), George Madgwick (Pam) and Craig Madgwick (Barb). Cherished grandmother of Tisha Findlay (Rob), Serge Belanger (Jen), Sarah Mueller (Donovan), Jason Madgwick (Gwendolyn), Keith Aasla (Marlize), George Madgwick (Kristyn), Jessica Madgwick (Mitch) and Chloe Madgwick. Lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren Blake and Olivia Findlay, Calla and Arista Mueller, Alexis Madgwick (Dakota), Joshua Madgwick, Jordyn and Quinten Belanger, George and Harper Madgwick and Carter and Hayden Aasla and great great grandmother of Dallas St. Pierre. June is predeceased by grandchildren Christian Aasla (1973) and Danielle Belanger (2000). Dear sister of Jim Merrill, Gerry Merrill (Susan), the late Michael Merrill (1986), Douglas Merrill (1993) and Beryl Witham (2000). June is predeceased by her sisters in law, Doris Vair (the late Barry) and Lillian Hammerton (the late Eddie). She will be forever remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. June was a long-time member of the Ladies Guild at St. Mark’s Anglican Church. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Amy Montour, Dr. Adam Norris, the entire staff of the Brantford General Hospital and the “girls” at Avenue Pharmacy for the care and support. Friends are invited to pay their respects at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road N. Brantford on Thursday May 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at ST. MARK’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 155 Memorial Drive, Brantford on Friday May 3, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow the service at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Burford. Donations may be made in memory of June to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, St. Mark’s Anglican Church or to the charity of your choice.
