It is with broken hearts the family of Joseph Jarvais LeBlanc announce his passing which occurred with his loving family at his side at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday April 24, 2019. Born in Meteghan Station, NS on March 8, 1934 he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Doucet) LeBlanc.
Joseph was a member of the Canadian Army and was a proud Veteran. After retiring from the service he was a City Transit Bus driver for over 40 years working in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Joseph was loving and devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. Those who knew him will love and miss him forever. Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of almost 50 years Pamela (Driscoll) LeBlanc; son Clifford (Pamela) and daughter Michelle LeBlanc (David Crockett) all of Saint John; sister Elsie Saunier; precious grandchildren who loved their Papa, Aydin & Sophya LeBlanc; Stephen Martel (Amanda), Ashley Crockett and Courtney Israel; great-grandchildren Ben, Samuel and Emma; nieces, nephews; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends. Along with his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his brother Frank W. LeBlanc and his grandson Gabreel LeBlanc.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday April 26th from 6-8 p.m. A Tribute to a Veteran service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral (Virgin’s Chapel) on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
