Obituary of Jean Goodman
Jean Goodman, 83, formally of Golcar, England passed away, March 26, 2019, peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Jean moved to Canada with her family in 1975 from Huddersfield, England. She resided in Ajax, Ontario for 30 years before retiring to Brighton, Ontario in 2000.
Jean is survived by her husband Brian, whom she married in 1959 in Huddersfield, England. She leaves behind two daughters Diane Peacock, of Uxbridge (Steven) and Rebecca Fong of Oshawa (Craig). She will be missed by grandchildren Adam, Stephanie, Nicole, Andrew, Sydney and four great-grandsons Oliver, Jaxson, Grayson and Maverick, she is also survived by her sister Pauline Robinson (Derek) and her family.
Jean was a unit clerk at Ajax Pickering Hospital, 2 West, for over 20 years, and was known for her smile and dedication to her work. She had a wonderful sense of humor towards life and always saw the bright side of things. Not once did she complain during her 2-year battle with cancer and was still concerned about others more than herself right to the end.
A celebration of life will be held in the Summer 2019.
