Mr. Gordon Morton
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday April 1st, 2019, Mr. Gordon Albert Morton of Chatham passed away peacefully in his 89th year. Cherished son of the late Albert and Doris Morton. Beloved husband of Gerda of 60 years. Loving father of Michael and his wife Janice of Orangeville. Loving grandfather of Matthew (Danielle), David, and Heather (Michael), and adored great grandfather of Trevor, Hannah and Emma. Predeceased by his daughter Lynn Anne (1987), his sisters Mildred, Margaret, Jean and Honey, and his brother Stewart. He is survived by his sister-in-law Vivian Morton, brother-in-law Donald Graham, and his many nieces and nephews. Gordon was a proud member of Parthenon Lodge #267 and The Ahcom Shrine Club of Chatham. The family would like to thank Dr. K. Bailey and the nurses of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Wednesday April 3rd with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday April 4th at 1 pm with Rev. Mike Maroney officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Shriners Hospitals for Children, the C-K Hospice Foundation, or charity of your choice.
