Gladys Babineau
1953-2019
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, April 2, 2019, Mrs.
Gladys Babineau, 65, of Crombie Settlement passed away surrounded by
her loving family. She was the wife of Ernest
Babineau. Born in Birtle, Manitoba in 1953, Nowella Mary
Vivie, better known as Gladys, was the daughter of the late Vena
Vivie.
Her foster parents, Rose and Mike Blashko of Shoal Lake,
Manitoba raised Gladys from the age of 5 to 18. She always
said she grew up with good foster parents.
She is survived by her husband Ernest Babineau, children:
Tammy Babineau, Trevor Babineau and Tracy Babineau; grandchildren:
Justin Thibodeau, Megan Thibodeau, Destiny Lunn, Koby Bois and her
first great grandchild due in August 2019. She also leaves
behind a special friend Lisa.
She also loved her dog Joey who was a faithful therapy dog
for her through difficult times.
She is also survived by her sister Jeannie Monkman and half
sister Rose Heddon, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews
and cousins from the Settlement and her family of Vivie and Ben from
the Birdtail Sioux First Nation in Manitoba.
She was predeceased by her mother and sister Margaret
Vivie.
Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd.,
Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday, April 8th from 1 to 2 p.m.
followed by a Liturgy of the Word celebration at 2 p.m., with Father
Paul Paradis officiating.
Interment will be at a later date in the Assumption Cemetery
of Blue Bell.

of Blue Bell would be appreciated.
