Obituary of Florence Alexander
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Lee Manor in Owen Sound on Monday, April 22nd, 2019. Florence Eleanor Alexander (nee Edwards), of Owen Sound, at the age of 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert Alexander. Loving mother of Rose Border (Mark), of Owen Sound, Paul Alexander (Nicole), of Chatsworth and Terry Alexander, of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Amber, Candace, Lindsay, Sarah, Josh, Chad, Carmena and great-grandmother of Bryce, Clayton, Nikolas, Rebekah, Layne and Lucas. Florence is survived by her sisters-in-law, Clara MacFadden (Bill) and Jean Wells, both of Durham. Predeceased by her parents, William and Alfretta Edwards; her siblings, William Edwards (Margaret) and Virginia Webber (Albert); her in-laws, Annie Dowsling (Harry) and Norm Wells.
A Funeral Service for Florence Alexander will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Cochrane Cemetery, Mount Forest. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy.
