Obituary of Elda Lougheed
Passed peacefully at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, on Sunday morning, April 14, 2019, Elda Lougheed (Foster-Douglas) at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her loving husbands, Warren Lougheed, and Raymond Douglas. Loving mother of Kim Lougheed, of Owen Sound, Jill Newgard and her husband Chris, of San Francisco, and Greg Lougheed and his wife, Marleen, of Georgian Bluffs. Loving and proud grandma of Evan, Jack, Eric and Jody Lougheed. Dear sister of Marg (Bill) Davis and sisters-in-law Kathy, of Owen Sound, Laverna, of Barrie and Wanda of Kitchener. Elda will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Edith Foster and Loren and Mabel Douglas and her brother, Ron Foster. Elda had a sure faith in Jesus Christ, a great love of people, and loved her community of Owen Sound.
Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario, N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492), on Tuesday April 16 from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held for Elda at the Calvary Missionary Church, 655 – 10th Street West, Owen Sound on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mary Turner officiating. Private Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Timothy Christian School or Calvary Missionary Church.
