Obituary of Donald Stuart Robertson
Peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2019 at The Elliott Community in Guelph, Ontario in his 85th year. Loving husband of Helen (nee Harman); dear father to Jeff (Elaine) and Jill; brother to Bill (Lorraine); proud grandfather to Emily, Jack and Nicole. Predeceased by his grandson John.
Toronto born, Don started his medical practice in Deep River and later in his career moved to Milton and Burlington, Ontario. He brought many children into this world as a General Practitioner and serviced many years as the victim’s voice in his duties as coroner. In Deep River he enjoyed weekends discovering the ancient settlements of the Mississaugas of Mud lake as an amateur archeologist and spend hours documenting the local history of the Ottawa Valley. He enjoyed nature, wildlife and gardening. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, the hunt was always better than the find. Helen and Don both loved traveling and retirement was spent on several trips cruising down the great rivers of Europe.
His last remaining days were spent in the care of the Elliott Community. The Family would like to express our sincere thanks for the loving support that he received from the many dedicated caregivers. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 6 at 2:30 PM at Saint Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 537 Main St., Glen Williams, Ontario. In memory of Don, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Donald Stuart Robertson 2019..
