Carman F. Taylor
1930-2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing
of Carman Frederick Taylor, age 88, of
Sackville, formerly of Timber River, NB. Carman passed away on Friday,
January 25, 2019 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital with loving family
by his side.
Born in Port Elgin, NB, he was a son of the late Floyd and
Eugenie (Simpson) Taylor.
Carman was a veteran of the Korean War. After getting married
to Abigail in 1952, they moved to Sarnia, ON where he worked with
Imperial Oil, retiring from there in 1985 and returning to Timber
River. He loved bowling, gardening, and puttering in the garage and
around the property.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 67 years, the former
Abigail Pauley, Sackville; children Barb (David) Calvert, Brights
Grove, ON, Virginia (Fred) Schumann, Parkhill, ON, Jamie (Bernie),
Sarnia, ON, Steven (Lesley), Lower Sackville, NS, Cameron (Nancy),
Markdale, ON and Andrew (Abby), Granbury, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 15
great grandchildren; siblings Jessie Coates, Amherst, NS, Isabel
Pauley, Port Elgin, NB, Earl (Olive), Sarnia, ON, Gerald (Maria),
Newcastle, ON; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 sisters Lillian Sundby, and Hester
Allen.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port
Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). A funeral service for Carman will be held
from the Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin chapel, 3 West Main Street on
Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2 pm with a reception to follow. Rev. Carman
Webb presiding.
