Passed away on March 11th, 2019 at the QE2, at 87 years of age. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Richard and Beatrice Locke (Lusted).
She spent approximately 40 yrs in the federal civil service, and had a passion for helping families in her work with Unemployment Insurance/Employment and Immigration. She was a beloved wife and mother. She and her husband were excellent dancers doing the jive and the quick step. She was an accomplished bowler . For more than 35 years, she and her husband bowled with the same CUPE league and built up a large collection of trophies. She was also a devoted member of the congregation at Faith Baptist Church. She and her husband were involved with many of the Church’s activities, including participating in the establishment of the present building and the growing congregation.
She is survived by her two daughters Heather and Beverley, both of Lower Sackville, Grandchildren T. Douglas MacDonald , Willow MacDonald, Shawna Berlemont, C. Richard Muggah, and Becky Muggah, and 4 Great-grand children. She was predeceased by her sister Beatrice MacKenzie (Locke), brother Raymond Locke, son Douglas Arthur and husband Douglas Frederick MacDonald.
Visitation TK Barnard Funeral Home Sunday Mar 17 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service at Faith Baptist Church, Rev. Borden Scott officiating
Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Lower Sackville. Flowers are welcome, or choose Charity; sow the seeds for beauty which endures more than a season. Suggested charity, the Canadian Diabetes Association.
