He will be forever remembered by his wife Donna of 50 years. His daughter Jenna (John) and
their children Kim, Kasidy, and Jake. His daughter Carmel (Ryan) and their children Mckenna,
Piper and Calum. And his daughter Kayla. He is survived by his siblings, Twila (Dave), Bob
(Gloria), Pat and Kathy (Michelle), sister-in-law Rhonda and sister-in-law Judy (Ron), along with his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties and uncles.
Dwight is predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Iona and his brother Chuck. The family
gratefully acknowledges the loving support of many family and friends as well as the
compassionate care offered by the Cross Cancer Institute and Strathcona Palliative Home Care.
Dwight was born in Vancouver, December 2, 1945. He grew up in Marwayne/Dewberry AB.
This was also the time and place he met his childhood sweetheart Donna Robbie, whom he
married in August 1969. They lived in Edmonton then moved to Sherwood Park, where they
started their family. Work took them on adventures to Lodgepole, AB and Salmon Arm, BC, but they eventually returned to Sherwood Park where they raised their three girls. His
entrepreneurial passion led him to ventures such as Lazer Maze, Edibles and Huckleberry
Tours, Dwight enjoyed the last 20 years of his career as property manager for Rycor business
Center. When Dwight wasn’t working you could find him in his beautiful yard, helping out at his brother’s farm, or on the water, whether it be on a river or out at the lake. He loved fishing,
quading, boating, hunting, trail riding and spending time at Laurier lake. Above all, Dwight was a family man. “Pops” was loved by his grandchildren and was a tireless hockey, soccer, football, dance, equestrian and music cheerleader. Words cannot describe the positive impact he has had on so many lives. His passion, talkative nature and humour will be forever missed.
