at the age of 74 years
“Dot”, as she was fondly called by friends and family, had da great love for teaching school and did so for 33 years. She travelled extensively and loved the arts, theatre, music and classic movies. She was a loving, generous person who supported various charities concerned with rendering aid to people and animals in distressing circumstances.
She was survived by her sisters Louise Whelan and Barbara Hunt, her nieces Denise, Dawn, Alison and nephew Bradley.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, Robert and Muriel Burns, her brother Herald Burns and her son, Andre Szalanski.
Dot will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She did not want any ceremony but wished for her ashes to be scattered at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Szalanski nee Burns “Dot Dorothy Jean June 14 1944 – March 11 2019..
