Sarah Mary (Francis) Joe
1935-2019
Sarah Mary (Francis) Joe, wife of the late William Joe of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, March 29th, 2019 at the age of 83.
Born in Esgenoôpetitj, Sarah was the daughter of the late Patrick and Charlotte (Ward) Francis.
Sarah was a homemaker and attended Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Esgenoopetitj.
Sarah is survived by five daughters: Freda (Vincent) Cloud, Georgina Joe and Juanita Joe of Esgenoopetitj, Doreen (Ronald) Comeau of St. Laurent, NB and Darlene Augustine of Truro, NS; six sons Willard, Gilbert, Derry, Harvey, Melvin and Jeffrey Joe of Esgenoopetitj; three sisters: Emily Mitchell and Rose Ann Joe of Esgenoopetitj and Linda Jerome of Maria, QC; fifteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents: Patrick and Charlotte (Ward) Francis, and husband William Joe, Sarah is predeceased by one son: William Jr. and one daughter: Marlene.
Visitation will be held at Sarah’s residence, 547 Bayview Drive, Esgenoôpetitj, NB on Monday, April 1st starting from 2 PM, and again on Tuesday April 2nd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 3rd at 12 in the afternoon from Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj, NB, with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating.
Burial will take place in Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Esgenoôpetitj, NB, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in Sarah’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
