It is with greatest sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Otto Hagman announce his passing on March 28, 2019. Born December 12, 1925, Otto was the son of Herman and Frieda Hagman (Denninger).
Otto enjoyed a good life together with his Late wife, Bessie Hagman, on their family farm in the community of Anselmo, before retiring to Mayerthorpe in 1990.
Otto is survived by his loving family, children, Pat (Diane), Rick (Molly), Robin (Charlene), Connie, Lynn (George); his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Brent (Amanda) and sons, Colby and Carter; Leanna (Curtis) and son, Keaton; Jason (Amanda) and children, Owen, Hansen, Kate, and Jackson; Kevin (Cecile) and children, Liam, Zoey and Reed; Jenn, Jaimie (Anthony) and children, Jake and Harvey; Shannon (Harris), Wade (Amy) and daughter, Harper; Brad, Kelly (Alyssa), Marlo, Courtney, and Jordan.
Otto was predeceased by wife, Bessie; grandson, Mark; infant great-granddaughter, Natasha; parents, Herman and Frieda; brothers, Alfred (Agnes), Herman (Joyce), Frank (Jean); sisters, Mina (Cecil) and Alma.
Thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of the Mayerthorpe Health Care Centre and staff of Home Care for the great care provided to Otto and the family.
A Celebration of Otto’s Life will be held Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Anselmo Community Hall, Hwy 647 at Range Road 102, Anselmo, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayerthorpe Hospital Auxiliary Association, Box 582, Mayerthorpe, AB, T0E 1N0, or to The Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6G 1Z2.
