Martin Joseph Beneteau
Passed away peacefully at Erie Shores Health Care, surrounded by family on March 27, 2019 at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of Freda (nee Paquette) for over 65 years. Loving father of Joe Beneteau (Pam), Genevieve Deschamps (Ronald), the late James Beneteau (Penny), Lawrence Beneteau (Lisa), Paul Beneteau (Jean), Theresa Meloche (David), Loretta Dekold (Martin). Will be missed dearly by his 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Laurette Beneteau. Dear brother of Don Beneteau (Eileen), Marguerite Mailloux (late Roland), Jeannette Bezaire (Eugene), Clayton Beneteau (late Marian), Harvey Beneteau, late Angela Marontate (late Gerald), late Mae Houle (Rosaire) and Romeo Beneteau. Martin has enjoyed many years of retirement from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He was the former reeve for Anderdon Twp. He was a lifetime member and past Grand Knight of Council 5642 River Canard, former District Deputy of District 88, past Faithful Navigator and charter member of Fr. Louis Boue Assembly 2355 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

Visitation Saturday March 30, 2019 from 7-9 pm and Sunday March 31, 2019 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish and 3rd and 4th degree K of C prayers at 8pm at Families First 585 Sandwich Street South, Amherstburg, 519-969-5841. Visitation will continue on Monday April 1, 2019 at St. Joseph Church, 9399 Townline Road, River Canard from 10:30 am until time of funeral mass at 11am. Interment to follow St. Joseph Cemetery.
