JOHN WILLCOCK
On Monday, March 25th, the world lost a true original. Suddenly and without warning, John Willcock died while at home in Sandy Hook. He was 64.
John will be missed by his wife and best friend, Ginny (Brown), daughter Ashley (Kurt Reinfort), son Evan (Meredith), granddaughters Dia and Brynn, mother Elizabeth Willcock, brothers Michael (Geraldine), Peter (Dolfi), sister Mary Kay Thompson (Richard) and nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his father David, sister Shelagh and first wife Lynn.
Johnʼs career days were spent doing what he loved best – dealing with people. He made many friends in his working life.
John was always ready with a joke, and a kind word. He forged many lasting relationships during his 18+ years living on the Sandy Hook Golf Course.
Golf was one of Johnʼs favourite pastimes, which he played with passion and skill. He also brought his natural athletic skills to long-distance running and, more recently, pickle ball. John was also a good cook who loved to take over the kitchen. He made the best coffee in the world, even delivering Ginnyʼs morning cup to her, wherever she was in the house. Hold your loved ones close while you can, they are so precious.
A celebration of John’s life will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
