Helen Margaret Ann Darling
1920-2019
The death of Helen Margaret Ann Darling, wife of the late
Henry E. G. Darling, occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional
Hospital on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Born in 1920, she was the
daughter of the late William and Minerva (Hill) Darling of West Saint
John.
Helen loved music and shared her voice in St.
Paul’s (Valley) Choir for many years. She often played the
organ when Douglas D. Major was not available and played for her
friends at the Chateau. In later years, she was a member of the Altar
Guild and the ACW of Holy Trinity Church, Hammond River and the Kings
County Historical Society. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling
and her extensive family.
Survived by two sons; William McIntosh (Tina) and
Andrew McIntosh (Adrienne), one step-son John Darling (Carol) and
daughter-in-law Elaine Darling; grandchildren Carl McIntosh (Tammy),
Jennifer West (Julian), Scott Darling (Jennifer), Sonya Seeley (Gary),
Jill Burchill (Neil), Jason Darling; many
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jack
McIntosh, and her three sisters: Frances, Marjorie and Virginia and
step-son Robert Darling.
Helen’s family wishes to express their heartfelt
gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at 4CS at the Saint John
Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
Arrangements are under the care of

Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Service will
be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm from
Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish,
remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
