Donna Wilson-Halifax-wife of Jay Wilson, born on 5th October, 1944 in Truro, NS, passed away peacefully on 26th of March, 2019 at QE2 Hospital after a lengthy but courageous, battle with cancer.
She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bentley. Donna worked at Royal Trust for many years. She was a kind, caring mother, wife, and friend. She was generous to a fault. She truly believed the more you donate, the more you will get in heaven. She was choir director and loved to decorate for special events and occasions at churches.
She is survived by childhood friend Martina Hendsbee, long time friends Gale Clark, and Marlis Duppet, cousins, nieces, Step Daughters Erika Steiner, and Deidre Sullivan, Step Son Jason Wilson, grandchildren Kate and Ava Sullivan and Michael and Gabriella Wilson, and husband Jay Wilson. Donna will be missed by many.
Jay Wilson and family thank the nurses and doctors of 8.4 at the QE2 for their expertise and kind care they provided. Special thanks to Bonnie and Dr O’Donnell.
At the request and the wish of Donna Wilson, there will be no funeral service. On site burial service will take place at later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
