Donald Phillips
1953-2019
It is with deep sadness the we announce the sudden passing of
Donald Phillips of Moncton, which occurred at The Moncton Hospital on
Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of Shirley (Gaynes) and the
late Norman Phillips. Don had been a faithful employee with
Owens-Illinois, formerly known as Consumer Glass Inc. in Scoudouc for
over 35 years. Following his career, he owned and operated
Don’s Heat Pumps and Mini Splits. He was also the past
president of Aluminum, Brick and Glass Workers Local 256. Don loved to
spend time camping in Amherst, NS with his family and cherished the
moments and memories with them, particularly his grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
Besides his mother, Shirley he will be deeply missed by his
loving wife Linda (Landry) Phillips, daughters; Christine McAleese
(Mark) of Riverview, Jody Phillips-Doiron (Peter) of Moncton, Troy of
Oromocto and Jason (Melissa) of Moncton, brother, Bill
« Buddy » (Barbara) of Salisbury, grandchildren; Melissa,
Alex, Beth, Melanie, Jessica, Allison, Taylor, Samantha, Keira,
Victoria, Diana, Kyle and Rebecca, great grandchildren; Ryah, Abigail,
Alayna, Addison, Cohen, Amelia and Aurora, brothers-in-law; Donald
(Pauline), Roger, J-C (Elizabeth), David (Shelley) as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend and invitation to friends and
relatives for an afternoon of remembrance at Cobb’s Funeral
Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on
Friday, March 29, 2019 from 4 – 6 PM. Donations to the NB
Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the
Greater Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family. Online
