Obituary of Dino Michopoulos
March 26, 1953 – March 23, 2019
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Kostantinos Michopoulos, a loving husband, father and grandfather at the age of 65 years.
Dino was born in Athens, Greece in 1953 where he attended school. At the age of 18 he enlisted with the Greek army. In 1975 Dino moved to Canada, making his home in Prince Rupert, BC where he owned a restaurant. In 1985 he moved to Vancouver where he became a businessman and owned a mining company in Chile.
In 2010 he met the love of his life, Juanita, who remained by his side until his last day. Dino passed surrounded by love from his loving wife and his step daughter Krystal.
Dino is survived by his wife Juanita Michopoulos (nee Sanchez-Madrid), Crystal Muldoe, Georgos Michopoulos, Dimitra Michopoulos, Elaina Cutler and spouse Jason, and son Grayson. He is also survived by his step-son Kristopher Reeb (Laise) children Shaylynn, Gunny and Racer; step-daughter Krystal Reeb and children Kiera and Cameron.
He was predeceased by his parents; biological mom Sofia Rousaki, mom Dimitra, dad Georgos, and his uncle George Gorgakopoulos.
Dino’s family wish to send a big thank you to the staff of Prairie Lake long term facility where he was lovingly cared for until he passed, and thankyou to Bear Creek Funeral Home for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life for Dino will be held at a later date in Vancouver, BC.
