Betty Jean Turnbull (Hall), 87, of Edmonton, AB, passed away on March 8, 2019.
She was born in Saskatoon, SK to Jim and Sarah Hall (Patton). Betty went to school at Nutana Collegiate Institute and then worked at Saskatchewan Mutual, which is where she met her future husband, Ken Turnbull. She married Ken on June 16, 1962 in Grace United Church in Saskatoon. She played softball for many years, and loved watching tennis, curling and figure skating. Betty and Ken had the pleasure of living in a variety of locations, including Stratford, ON, Woodstock, ON, Sault-Ste-Marie, ON, Brandon, MB, Chilliwack, BC, Kelowna, BC, Prince Rupert, BC, Yellowknife, NT, Lethbridge, AB, and St. Albert, AB.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert James Hall, and her beloved poodle Rusty.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Ken; daughters, Wendy (Don) and Andrea (Michael); sister Audrey; grandson Quinton; and numerous relatives and friends.
At Betty’s request, no formal service will be held. Interment will take place in late August at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon.
