Annie Mae Tremblett
Sydney Mines
We regret to announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Annie Mae Tremblett, on Friday, March 22, 2019, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines on February 6,1943, Annie Mae was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (LeBlanc) Forrest.
In her early years, Mom was employed by the fish plant, then later worked as a PCW at the Miner’s Memorial Manor.
Annie Mae was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent most of her time spoiling each and every one, especially her youngest daughter Roxanne. Annie Mae enjoyed going to bingo, drives, chasing the horses, enjoying life, and spending time with her family. Mom was a very kind and caring person; always wanting to help others. She always had some great words of wisdom to offer anyone in need.
Annie Mae is survived by her children Ron (Tracey) Georges River, Shryl (Matt) Sydney Mines, Tanya (Frank) Sydney Mines and will be missed by her grandchildren Mathew, Cole (Molly), Michael, Lucas, Stevi, Paige, Nicholas, Nate and Jared and also a great-grandson Tucker.
Also left to mourn are her sisters Catherine, and Maisey (Bob), and brothers, Doug (Tessie) and Alex (Kim)
Annie Mae will be resting in peace with her husband Darkie, her son Bernie, and daughters Roxanne and Brenda Lee. She was also predeceased by sisters, Mary, Sharon, Sandra, Barb and Brenda Lee and a brother in infancy
Special thanks to the Northside Homemakers, the VON, Susan and the team from Palliative Care, Joan Salah, John Ritter, the Cape Breton Cancer Center, and her many doctors and friends who helped my mother throughout the past year. You all have a special place in our hearts.
There will be no visitation. A memorial mass celebrating her life will be held at Holy Family Church, Sydney Mines, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Jim Oliver officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to IWK Children’s Hospital, Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.
Unseen unheard, but always near, so loved so missed, so very dear.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Annie Mae Forrest Tremblett 2019..
