GONZALEZ, Gonzalo “Chalo” – Peacefully with his family by his side, at Victoria Hospital, London, Gonzalo Gonzalez died on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Teresa. Loving father of Mario & his wife Lisa, Sarnia, Lorena & her husband Eugene Micieli, Toronto, Pamela & her husband Todd Konrad, Sarnia and Juan & his wife Clara, Chile. Cherished grandfather of David (Quinn), Jessica (John), Daniel (Amy), Pamela, Mary Grace, Tristen, Jaiden, Debbie (Alexis) and Johnathan. Great grandfather of Aliah, Charles, Lunita and Luciano. Predeceased by his parents Alvaro & Brunilda Gonzalez and his siblings. Chalo was a loving and giving man who was cherished by his family. He was an electrician his whole life and worked at Partek Insulation before his retirement in 1998. Chalo loved soccer, both playing and coaching. He was a semi-pro soccer coach in Chile for many years. In 1977 he brought his family to Canada to pursue a better life, his family was his pride and joy and his priority was always to put his family first. Always with a helping hand, he would reach out to help immigrants and those in need. We would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses on the Nephrology Unit at Victoria Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
