It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. The size of his heart could only be matched by its strength as he fought courageously through a plethora of health issues.
Predeceased by parents Owen and Lucretia Pear and sisters, Maureen and Senora. Leaving to mourn is his soulmate of 54 years Betty (nee Keough); daughters Jayna (Rob) and Dawn; sons Michael (Kelly) and Paul (Bea); grandchildren Adele, Simon, and Ryan; and brother Carl.
Also leaving to mourn brothers and sisters-in-law: Ralph Keough (Gladys), Genevieve Moss, Grace French, Marguerite Keough, Nora Biggin, Joe Keough (Alice), and especially Marjorie and Ken Foster for their unconditional love and support to both Mom and Dad during his illness.
A long and extensive list of family and friends will miss the intelligence of the man and, in his own words, the mystery of his mind which was always in learning mode. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Porter; the staff of the HSC, especially Drs. Organ and McIntyre; and the entire team in ATP. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Miller Center for their compassion and care and to NP Carmel Collins for guiding our family through this difficult journey.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation is at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Sunday, February 10th from 7-9PM and Monday, February 11th from 12-4PM and 7-9PM. A service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 12th at 2PM.
Flowers are appreciated and/or a donation to a charity of your choice, but a blood donation is where we can all make the greatest contribution. To send a message of condolence please visit, www.carnells.com.
