Wayne’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Wayne Sheppard announce his sudden passing at his private residence on Monday, Feb 4, 2019 at the age of 70 years. He leaves to mourn with fond loving memories his wife, Elaine (Nee Murrin) of 50 years. His children: Jackie Wiseman (Phil) Grand Falls-Windsor, Joanne Gibbons (Todd) Edmonton, AB, Jeffrey Sheppard (Miranda) Grand Falls-Windsor; grandchildren: Nicholas Wiseman, Danielle Wiseman, Joshua Gibbons, Sierra Gibbons, Jorja Gibbons, Chloe Sheppard and Caleb Sheppard. His siblings: Winnie Smith of Toronto ON, Glenys Holwell (Owen) Lewisporte NL, Robert Sheppard (Evelyn) Lark Harbour NL, Melina Sheppard of Toronto ON and large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents: Baxter and Rita Sheppard; his brothers: Allen Sheppard and Bruce Sheppard. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Feb 7, 2019 from St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, Feb 8, 2019 at 2PM with Reverend Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at the St. James Anglican Church Cemetery in Lark Harbour. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations can be made to Diabetes Canada, 29 Pippy Place, St. John’s, NL A1B 3X2 or by calling 709-754-0953 to call direct to make a donation.
