The death of Steve Dornian, aged 88 years, of Liberty, SK occurred peacefully at Grace Hospice in Regina, SK on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Steve was born on March 12, 1930 on the homestead in Outram, SK. He was predeceased by eight siblings, Mary, Rose, Arthur, John, Kathleen, Paul, Madeline and George. He has one surviving sister, Helen (Norman) Wolff from Port Alberni, BC. He leaves behind to mourn his wife Therese, of 64 years. He was also predeceased by his son Wayne (Connie) in 2006, one grandchild, Grant in 1990, and one great-grandchild, Gracie in 2008. He also leaves to mourn six children, Robert (Gyongyi), Janette (Ron) McKenzie, Suzanne (Mark) Stengel, Glen, Sheryl (Gerry) Harty and Rodney (Tina); fourteen grandchildren, Damon (Chelsy), Erica, Kimberley, Michael (Autumn), Jill (Troy) Kocur, Linda, Dallas (Casey), Dylan (Jolene), Alysha, Marissa, Cole and Kassandra, Hannah and Hunter; ten great-grandchildren, Jenaya, Marcus, Joey, Ty, Bentley, Chris, Morgan, Madeline, Raeya, Alana. They were all very special to him. Steve also leaves and cherished all the friends and relatives of the communities of Liberty, Penzance, Stalwart, Holdfast, Imperial, Simpson and Watrous. He thanks you all for the companionship over his past 63 years. We know he wouldn’t have wanted to spend them anywhere else. The MASS OF THE CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Imperial, SK on Saturday February, 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. A Private Family Interment will take place in Wolffton Cemetery near Liberty, SK at a later date. A Memorial Reception will be held at the Liberty Memorial Hall immediately following the Funeral Mass.
