On Sunday, February 17, 2019, Shirley Zygun passed away. Left to celebrate her life are: Her children, Michael Allen, David Andrew (Andrea Heather), their children, Julia Elisabeth, Alexander Andrew, and her daughter, Karen Leanne. Her brother, Nick (Patti), nieces, Nicole (Blair) their son, Preston and Monique (Jeremy) their daughter, Kamryn. Her niece, Shirle (Mel), her grandkids, Kurt and Autumn. Her nephew, Dan, his children, John, Paul (daughter Sophie), Katie (Logan) and their mother, Kathy. Her niece, Cathy (Darrell), their sons, Jeff (son Aaron) and Andrew (Amber), and their daughter, Sarah. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Andrew (Al), parents, Nick And Rose (NAR) Moskalyk and in-laws, Andrew and Nancy. Her mentor, protector and best friend, her sister, Anne (Henry), who she misses every day and her beautiful, beloved great-nephew, Devin.
She had the best surgeons – Dr. Brisbois, Dr. Stewart and Dr. Otto. The Cross nurses, so essential and so very special, they are a step above all others. Thanks to the dedication of Dr. Noush and Dr. Ingrid, special friends and neighbors.
An extraordinary family doctor, Dr. Hamilton – an exceptional support of a primary, she would not have been here so long without his care and kindness..
Now as a railroader she exercises her seniority to advance, as the train has reached its destination. It was a fantastic trip.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
