Rosemary Holsworth of Edmonton

Rosemary Holsworth of Edmonton Feb 24 2019

With loved ones at her side, Rosemary died peacefully at her home in Edmonton at the age of 86 after complications from a fall.
Born and raised in Benalto, Alberta, Rosemary moved to Edmonton in the 1950s to attend the University of Alberta where she obtained an Arts and an Education degree.
Rosemary was many things to many people: a teacher and music consultant for Edmonton Public Schools, a children’s choir director, a pianist, a patron of the symphony, opera and theatre, a world traveler, a neighbour and dear friend.
She was also the eldest sister to Betty Nielsen and Joan (Stanley) Mannerfeldt , both of Edmonton; and Bill (Carol) Holsworth of Bendigo, Australia; and the beloved aunt and great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosemary will be remembered by all who knew her for her sharp intellect and fierce independence. She always loved a good discussion about politics, current events, or social issues.
A special heartfelt thank you to her caregiver, Flor, whose compassion, dedication and care helped ease Rosemary on her final journey. Thank you as well to the Palliative Home Care team and Dr. Smith for their support during her final days.
A service to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Anglican Parish of Christ Church, 12116-102 Ave, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Rosemary’s memory to the charity of your choice.
