Obituary of Robert Demaray
Demaray, Robert Irwin – of Erieau, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday February 15, 2019, age 80.
Born in Strathroy, to parents the late Clarence and Blanche (nee Craig) Demaray.
Loving husband of Marie (nee Morrow) Demaray for 59 years.
Beloved father of Joy and husband Dave Westelaken of Rodney, and Robert Demaray of Chatham.
Grandfather of Matthew Westelaken, Jason Westelaken, Jaden Demaray, and Landon Demaray.
Brother of Lee (late Anne) Demaray.
Brother-in-law of Merlene (Don) McAulay.
Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased also by his brother Donald Demaray.
Bob graduated from the Ontario Agricultural College – 55/56. He then began his career in the automotive industry in London, followed by Hamilton before opening and owning his own dealership, Blenheim Dodge Chrysler. In retirement, Bob operated Dems Charter and Tackle in Erieau. He also enjoyed woodworking, golfing, reading, painting, fishing, carving and spending time with his family.
As per Bob’s request, a Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
