Bond, Pearl May – Age 93 years
of The Tickle, Canso. It is with much sadness that we announce the
passing of our mother on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Pearl passed
away at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Canso, on
February 7, 1926; she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Hilda
(Greencorn) Roberts. Pearl was a respected member of the Tickle
community. She was an amazing cook and baker, loved to knit and quilt.
Her heart and home had a special place for her family, friends and
neighbours. We will forever miss your warm embrace and loving
kisses.
She is survived by daughter, Mary (Bud) Newell; son, Howard
(Velma), son-in-law, Dave Parker; 19 grandchildren, 35
great-grandchildren and 5 great- great-grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward;
daughters, Kathy (Mike) Newell; Rosie Parker; son, Jim; grandchildren,
Harold and Pearl; sisters, Margaret, Mary, Hazel, Rose, Florence and
Ollie; brothers, Jim, Ted, Tom, Harvey, Ed and Wallace.
There will be no visitation by family request.
Church service will be held in The Canso United Baptist
Church, Wednesday, February 27 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Wheeler
officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery at a later date. Family
flowers only please.
