Obituary for Mr. Maurice Joseph Walsh
Maurice passed away at home on February 9, 2019 at the age of 69 years. He was born December 1, 1949 in Charlottetown, PEI. Maurice attended school in PEI and graduated from Nova Scotia Technical College May 4, 1977 as a Civil Engineer. He moved out west and worked very hard building a very successful business, while also establishing his Ranch at Lazy Creek.
Maurice was known for his story telling; his gregarious personality and sense of humor. He was the favorite uncle to many of his nephew and nieces. He was well known for his philanthropy, supporting many international and humanitarian causes alongside his active involvement in his church.
Maurice is survived by his wife Gloria, his son Michael (Nichcole) Walsh, daughter Victoria Walsh, and step-daughters Chasidy (Matthew) Kramer, Stacey McCormick, 5 grandchildren; Haylea and Dax Walsh, Avery and Leighton McCormick, Owen Kramer and Josh Walsh.
Maurice is also survived by his siblings Blanche (Eddie) McIver, Vince (Josie) Walsh, Leo (Joan) Walsh, Maureen (Tom) Lawless, Frank (Loren) Walsh as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Anne Walsh, niece Angelina Maria Walsh, sister Lois Walsh, and nephew Joseph Chester Walsh.
