Katerina Erin Przednowek was born on March 22nd, 1988. She died on Feb 13th, 2019. Her death was tragic and sudden, a shock to all that knew and loved her. She was strong, smart and determined, an independent young woman that had her entire life in front of her. She worked as a paramedic and had plans to become a nurse. She had so much joy and lust for life. She loved to hike and spend time in nature. She loved animals, particularly her pets. She loved to travel and explore. Born to her mother Patsy (1954-2018) and father Bryon, she grew up in East Vancouver and from an early age took charge of her own life. Striking out on her own at the age of 15, bound and determined, she got a job, secured and maintained a home, all while completing and excelling in high school. After moving to Fort St John in 2008, she has spent the better part of a decade in the Peace region, she loved the northern air, the stunning wildlife, natural beauty, and the wide-open roads. She was an amazing woman. She will be missed. She passed away in her home in Dawson Creek at the age of 30. She is survived by her Chihuahua Killer, cat Keke, father Bryon, brother Kris, two grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and more amazing friends then anyone could ask for. A celebration of life will be held in Dawson Creek BC at the George Dawson Inn on Saturday February 23rd at 11am. A separate celebration will be held in Vancouver at a date TBD. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lymphoma Canada to help support research aimed at finding a cure to the cancer that took her mother. Tragedy can strike at any moment, be kind to each other while you’re here.
