Obituary of Josephine Helle
February 6, 1943 – February 22, 2019
It is with heavy hearts we mournfully announce the passing of Josephine Helle. Josephine was born and raised in Eureka River, and went to school in Montagneuse Valley AB. She was born to Flora and Charles McAllister. Josie was 1 of 14 children. She was married in 1968 and had 10 children. They lived in Fairview AB and she had been involved in the community for many years. Josephine was a proud descendant of the Dunvegan Beaver Band.
Josephine leaves behind her loving husband Gerald Joseph Helle; children Blue McAllister, Mark Helle, Loretta Sather, Juanita Helle, Doyle Helle, Darren Helle, Bobbi-Jo Helle, and Cindy Leclerc; 20 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; siblings, Beryl Tharp, Evelyn McAllister, Bud McAllister, Lenny McAllister, and Wesley McAllister.
Josephine was pre-deceased by her children Rose Helle, Randy Helle, Preston McAllister; siblings Grace Stevens, Doug McAllister, Bertha McAllister, Verna Bovenlander, Lloyd Sinclair, and Mary Ferguson; parents Flora and Charles McAllister; along with some aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service for Josephine will take place Friday March 1st at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 11am, burial to follow at the Waterhole Cemetery. The family will then be having a gathering of family and friends at the Fairview Legion Hall.
