ELLIOTT, Joan
Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital in her 81st year. Loving wife to the late Robert Elliott (2009) and stepmother to Brett Elliott, Dave Elliott (Shari), and Susan Weeden (Marty). Cherished grandmother to Claire, Stacey, Megan and Allison. Survived by her siblings Bernice Taylor of Simcoe, Helen Ross (Ed) of Brantford, Michael (Joan) of Guelph. Fran Lapier (Herb) of Kitchener, Sheila Day (Doug) of Brantford, Sister-in-law Barb Bridgeman of London and numerous nieces and nephews. Special God Mother to the late Lance Miller and Debbie Iezzi. Joan was predeceased by her parents Hewett and Alice Bridgeman (Gee), brothers Lloyd, Bill, Bobby, Bruce, Pat, Jack Bridgeman and sisters Jean Coppens, Judy Barnes, Margaret “Peg” Clark, Katherine Petersen, Ella Wilson, Mary Mayo. Joan is also predeceased by Sister-in-law Doris Bridgeman and Brother-in-law Fred Wilson and Harold Taylor.
Joan worked for many years at Harding Carpets in Brantford and Mississauga. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Society (Tuesday Group) with her two Sisters along with many other dedicated volunteer’s. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St. Brantford, on Thursday February 21st 2019 from 2-4p.m and 7-9p.m. Funeral service will take place the following day at 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Vincent De Paul Society would be appreciated. www.tollfh.ca
