Janet Bedford had so many passions in life, her kids, grandkids, her great big family, so many friends, music, photography, her cottage at Fernbank and volunteering in the community. It is with great sadness and so much love that we let you know she passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. She was surrounded by family, teaching piano with a camera in her hand. Nana’s favourite salutation – lots of love and hugs – XOXO – and we send them to you as we share this sad news. Janet is survived by her children, Catherine (Ted), Bryan, Jeannie (Reno), Christy (Stewart), grandchildren Darcy, Alanna, Natalie, Reed, Grant, Joseph, Nathan, Daniella, Cate, Sophie, and Jamie and brother Jim. She was predeceased by her sister Jill. A Visitation will take place at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday March 1st, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 with food and music and laughter and love at St Gabriel Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington, in the Parish Hall from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. For those who wish, donations in memory of Janet to the McMaster Children’s Foundation or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
