Obituary for
James « Boyd » Langille
Langille, James Boyd, 60 – Truro. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loved one, Boyd, who passed away on February 6, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre with his family and friends by his side as he began his next journey. Boyd worked at Crossley Carpets for over 35 years until his illness. In Boyd’s earlier years, he was most happy in the woods. Hunting, fishing, and trapping were his passion. Boyd was also the number one fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs whom he watched faithfully. Boyd is survived by his wife, Gloria Rood; step-mother, Gerry Halliday; sisters, Joan (David) and Shauna (Kevin); sisters-in-law, Valerie Langille and Sandra (Tom) Campbell; brothers-in-law, Ken Weir and Rick (Heather) Rood and stepson, Bernie Hunt. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a great nephew as well as a special friend, Lorraine Polluin. Boyd was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Langille and Lucy Langille; stepfathers, Bruce Langille and Carl Halliday; brother, Harold Langille and sister, Judy Weir. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CEHHC Palliative Care Unit, Colchester SPCA or charity of choice. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 12th at 2 p.m. with Rev.
