CARLETON, Grant David
July 21, 1952 – February 11, 2019
Grant David Carleton passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Southwood Hospice on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the age of 66 years old. He is survived by his siblings, Barry (Gloria), Danny, Steve (Gail), Hazel (Paul), Dale (Pat), Ellen (Phil), Ross (Diane); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; along with his special friend, Susie. All the doctors, nurses and care staff that have cared for him over the last 48 years were special friends too. We all loved him for his humor and strength. Grant will join his predeceased parents, Frank and Dorothy and sisters, Jeannie and Colleen; and nephew, Shawn Elkin.
Grant was born, raised and educated in Olds, Alberta. He moved to Calgary in approximately 1970 and spent a few years living in Lethbridge, and Strathmore, but Calgary was always home.
A Visitation will be held at Sonrise Community Baptist Church, 7015 – 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 12:00 pm, with Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 pm, with Pastor Stephen Carleton officiating. Interment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
