Most sincere thanks to mum’s many friends, for a lifetime of
love, encouragement and support, she was well blessed by your presence
in her life. Thank you to the staff of Parkwood Long Term Care for
their care of our father during his years on the Veteran’s wing.
Elizabeth loved and was unashamedly proud of her family. She believed
in being kind to everyone, and tried to brighten the days of those she
encountered. She loved card games, was a skilled Bridge and Euchre
player, enjoyed Bingo, Devotionals, and Church Services. She was
witty, had a great sense of humour, and loved to read her favorite
jokes to you. She would rather have dessert than the main course, and
always had Werther’s candies tucked away to give out to
all.
Our sincere love and gratitude to the devoted staff of Pollock
neighbourhood at the Village of University Gates in Waterloo, who have
cared and tended to both dad and mum through their journeys. Thank
you to those special angels, staff , volunteers, residents and their
family members who demonstrated compassion, kindness and love to mum
and to all of our family.
We are all deeply saddened by the great loss we feel, but know she
would want us to be happy and laugh and continue to feel the warmth of
her smile and her love in our hearts.
There will be a private family memorial and interment will take place
at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As expressions of
sympathy, donations to the Children’s Wish foundation and would
be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett
