Donald Edgar Waldron Sr.
1927-2019
With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Donald
E. « Don » Waldron Sr. announces his passing, which occurred
on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Lackawanna, NY on March 1, 1927, he was the only child of the
late Edgar and Marion (Gregory) Waldron. Donald was predeceased by the
love of his life, his wife Helen Grace « Gracie » (Mawhinney)
in 2014.
Donald will be missed by his beloved daughter, Margo Hall
(Stephen); his grandchildren, Christopher Waldron (Tammy), John
Waldron (Parissa), Robyn Hall (Michael Janes), Anne Waldron, Adam
Waldron and Ethan Waldron; two great-grandchildren, Kiana and Camron
Waldron; several nieces and nephews; his church families at RiverCross
and Seaside Baptist Church; sister-in-law, Jean Mawhinney; and
brothers-in-law, J. Gordon Mawhinney and Harry
MacDonald.
In addition to his loving wife Gracie, Donald was predeceased
by his sons, Dr. Donald Waldron Jr. and Arthur Waldron.
Donald’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt
gratitude to the doctors, staff, and all other health care
professionals of 3CN and 3BN for their compassionate care and
professionalism in his final days.

Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place at
RiverCross Church, 61 Forbes Drive, Saint John on Sunday, February 17,
2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held
at 7 pm. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held from
RiverCross church on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm. He will be
laid to rest at Maces Bay Cemetery at a later date. For those who
wish, remembrances may be made to Parkinson Canada, Canadian Cancer
Society, RiverCross Church, RiverCross Church Bus Fund, or Hope
