It is with great joy and sadness that we announce David John Maxwell Whyte went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Eldest son of the late Pastor Maxwell Whyte and Mrs. Olive Whyte. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years Genevieve (Gen) Whyte, daughter Ruth (Lee) Krentz, son Mark Whyte and loving granddaughter Taylor Baker. David will also be remembered by his brothers Michael (Carol) Whyte, Stephen (Gail) Whyte and John Whyte; his brother in-law Henry McFarland and his many nieces, nephews and the Quinney cousins in England. David had many friends in the UAF Church, Agincourt Pentecostal Church, Connexus Church and Calvary Community Church Barrie. He loved many people and they loved him back. David shared his life with friends, helping out with work jobs, financial aid, and many other forms of Blessings. He and Gen had a strong love for each other all through life until the last day. They encouraged many in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock. Memorial donation to Teen Challenge, The Busby Centre or Calvary Community Church would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca
