Obituary of Daphne Thompson-Hirst
Daphne Iris Thompson-Hirst (nee Henderson) passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at the Elgin Abbey Nursing Home in Chesley, on Wednesday morning, February 20th, 2019, at the age of 99 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Julius Hirst and the late John Thompson. Loving mother of Dianna Thompson, of Big Bay and Pieter Thompson, of Vancouver Island. Daphne will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews in the Hamilton and Guelph area. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Henderson and her siblings, Alexandra Henderson and Robert “Roy” Henderson (Hilda).
A Graveside Service for Daphne Thompson-Hirst will be held in the Beth Ezekiel Section of Greenwood Cemetery, 190 – 1st Street South West, Owen Sound, N4K 5S5, on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. with Rabbi Steven Schonblum officiating.
