D’AMICO, Concetta (nee Sarnelli) May 13, 1929 – January 30, 2019 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Concetta D’Amico peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her loving husband Armando and son Anthony. Survived by her sons Joseph (Josy) and Andy (the late Gilda). Adored and dearly missed by her grandchildren Anthony, Matthew and Jennah. Concetta is now reunited in heaven with her parents Vincenzo and Angela Sarnelli, her mother and father-in-law Andrea and Christina D’Amico, her siblings Giovanni (Nina), Carmine (Dora), Margherita and Lucia, her siblings-in-law Carmela (Rosario), Julia Trombetta (Rosario), Antonio (Leonarda) and Domenico (Julia). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews cousins and friends in Canada, England, Italy, and France and by her best buddy, Buddy. Many thanks to all of Concetta’s caregivers from VON and Pine Villa Nursing Home for all their care and compassion Concetta excelled in the kitchen, pasta, pizza and baking were her specialties, especially her famous cake we are still trying to master. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on Monday, February 4, from 4 – 9 p.m. Vigil prayers on Monday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
