Catheline May Phillips
1930-2019
Catheline May Phillips – 88, of New Minas, Kings County,
passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at home. Born in Upper Dyke,
Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Leslie Morine and
Georgina Dorothy (Burgess) Messom. In addition to being a homemaker,
Catheline was employed with Toney Ansems Farms, Hostess Foods, Gilbert
Allen Farms (for 22 seasons), Frank Van Meekeren Farms and Camp
Aldershot. She is survived by 11 daughters, Catherine
« Elaine » Wall, Kentville; Carol (Trevor) Campbell,
Kentville; Joyce (Carl) Knox, Porters Lake; Patricia (Eric) Brown,
Canning; Donna (David) Thompson, Wilmot; Sylvia (Arnold) Keddy,
Greenwich; Linda (Wayne) Isnor, New Minas; Paulette (Rufus) Rockwell,
Kentville; Brenda (Gâetan) Brisson, Calgary; Pamela (Alan)
Wagner, Calgary and Lurenda (David) Arenburg, Blue Mountain; three
step-daughters, Heather (Doug) Manuel, Susan Tupper and Tammy
Singleton; five sons, Lawrence « Bubby » McMullin,
Lakewood Road; Laurie (Linda) McMullin, Kingston, ON; Gary (Julie)
McMullin, New Minas; Michael (Nancy) McMullin, Wolfville and Randy
McMullin, New Minas; a step-son, Daniel (Betty) Phillips, Kentville; a
sister, Madeline (Garnet) Dagley, New Minas; a brother, Gordon Morine,
Kentville; many, many grandchildren; step-grandchildren; great
grandchildren; step-great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Foster St. Clair Phillips; three
brothers, Harry « Jake » Morine, Clarence Morine and
Alexander Messom. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held
from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a
reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019, with
Reverend Jedie Elliott officiating, assisted by Reverend Sterling
Gosman. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill.
Donations in memory may be made to the VON Annapolis Valley.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova
Scotia.
