Obituary of Carla (Young) Fraser
It is with sadness that we, the family of Carla Fraser (Young) announces she passed away at her home in White Hill, on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Carla was born in Happy-Valley/Goose Bay on October 19, 1971; the daughter of Ralph and Anne (Hadley) Young. After living in Ontario, Bathurst, NB, and Shelburne, NS in her early years, she spent most of her life in Pictou County.
Carla’s life was changed forever by a serious accident which left her in a wheel chair, but nothing changed her spirit. Strong, opinionated, funny, and full of love for her family and friends, Carla will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The centre of her world were her children Laura and Ryan Fraser. She is also survived by her husband, Ken Fraser; mother, Anne (Hadley) Young; brother, Joseph (Jennifer) Young, friend; Joe Ward, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in North Sydney, Bathurst and beyond; as well as many friends who were like family.
Carla was predeceased by her father, and coffee buddy, (Patrick) Ralph Young.
Her family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no funeral service held..
