GUYATT, Cameron Bruce
1925 – 2019
Our Dad left us on Saturday, February 23, 2019, peacefully in his 94th year. Predeceased by his dear and precious wife, Janet Fahrer, his brothers Allan, Bob, Leon and sister Marion. Survived by his sisters, Jean Hostein and Corrine Ridge (Jack). Caring Father to Velda Guyatt and Jane Alvey (Dan). He held a loving place in the life of Janet’s son Bob Smithers (Nadine). Uncle Cam was much loved by all his nieces and nephews. Cam was a very special man to his grandchildren Daniel (Chalene), Sarah (Parry), John, Lorena, Colton and Isaac. He was blessed with two great children, Theo and Phoebe Alvey. Cam’s relationship with his grandchildren while they were growing up is a time that holds special memories for each of them. Grandpa and Grandma Janet taught them how to fish, shared their love of Basswood Lake and our north country. All gifts that remain with them to this day. Cam was veteran of WW11 and enjoyed the company and activities of the Royal Canadian Legion. In his earlier years he was an avid baseball player and excelled in the sport. In his mature years he was an absolute died in the wool curler. It gave him great joy and he revelled in the competitive nature of the game. Dad loved his conversations with everyone he met, especially with his family and friends. His family will always treasure the many stories and adventures of his life that he so willingly shared. You will always be in our hearts Dad, brother, grandfather, friend.
