Obituary for Aime Joseph Archilaus Boulet

It is with great sadness that we anhnounce the passing of Aime Joseph Archilaus Boulet, beloved husjband of Liliane (Desrochers), on Friday February 1, 2019 at the Baldur Personal Care Home, at the age of 95 years.
Besides his wife Liliane, dad is survived by his two children Roger Boulet of Baldur and Elaine (Cal) Cuthbert of Portage la Prairie, MB.
Pepérè is also survived by his two grandchildren, Riley (Stephanie) and Stacey, brother Wilfred (Angele) Boulet of Somerset, sister Therese Bourdeaud’hui (Mike deceased) of Baldur, brother-in-law Antonin (Fernande) Desrochers of St. Anne MB as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Alphonse & Cordelia (Morin) and seven siblings.
Aime was born May 2, 1923 in Mariapolis MB. He married Liliane Desrochers on November 4, 1947 & together farmed in the Dry River District until 1952 when they purchased a farm south of Baldur, where they raised their family.
They worked hard side by side at farming until 1984 when they decided to semi-retire to Glenboro. Dad enjoyed fishing, Belgian Bowling, billiards, arm chair hockey and took up golfing at the age of 65, of which he played his last round at 90 years of age. He also loved his cards, playing up until Christmas 2018.
Mom & dad enjoyed traveling with friends and relatives, nothing better than a road trip.
They roamed Canada, Alaska, Europe, Mexico and hot spots in the U.S. Dad was fun loving, ready to help out, and always had a cheery word and smile to brighten your day.
We would like to thank Dr. Sudigala and the staff of the Baldur Personnel Care Home for their excellent care and unwavering kindness to dad and our family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Thursday February 7, 2019 at 1:30 pm in the St. James Catholic Church, Baldur MB with Father Phillip Malayil as Celebrant.
Viewing, along with Prayers and Eulogy will commence at 1:00 pm prior to Mass. A family interment will take place in the Baldur Cemetery at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, should one desire, donations can be made in Aime’s memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg MB R3E 0V5 or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 4B-457 9th St. Brandon MB R7A 1K2 or to a charity of choice.
