Obituary for Ernst Spitzer
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernst Spitzer on January 31st, 2019 in Hamilton. He is survived by Helene, his loving wife of 66 years. Loving father of Ernest (Mary Ann), Robert (Carol), and Peter; beloved grandfather of Michael (Rachel), Kirsten (Federico), William (Maya) and Andrew, as well as the dear great-grandfather of Abigail. Ernst was born in Fischbach, Austria, the son of Anna and Karl on February 24,1923. He was the beloved brother of his elder sister Karla and younger sister Elle. Throughout his life he worked tirelessly to support his family and together with Helene provided an environment for their 3 sons to develop. We are deeply appreciative of this. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 23, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. East, Dundas, Ontario, L9H 1C4 (additional parking at the Air Force Club). The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital for their kindness and loving work to ensure a comfortable and dignified end to a life well lived. For those who wish, donations to St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, 88 Maplewood Avenue, Hamilton Ontario, L8H 1W9, would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
